I've been a private English Tutor for 6 years. I strongly recommend you start getting experience as soon as you can. Many people think it's just a case of having a chat. Make sure your grammar and vocab knowledge is up to scratch to answer the endless questions. Have patience and be culturally sensitive. If you want to earn good money then the East Asian market is key, they study hard and have high expectations of teachers, especially British ones. I've just started teaching online with Cambly which gives you a crash course and supplements my income when students cancel or go on holiday. It's a fantastic job if you're willing to put the work in and find great materials for your students. Good luck
I am also a consultant in one company that assist foreigner to get proper visa for staying in Thailand on a short or long time visit. Retirement visa, permanent residency and other visa. please get in touch if you need advice or help. thank you

Thanks for your interest in consulting job offer here in Bangkok. I suggest that you start contacting hotels and resort in Thailand or real state company. They might need your experience. It's a booming industry here.

My name is Leana, and I just moved to Bangkok from Melbourne, with my partner who works in engineering here. I am currently looking for the next step in my career in international development. I have just completed a double degree in a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Global Studies from Monash University in Australia, specialising in International Relations and Environmental Science. In my spare time, I love to cook, practice yoga and meditation, travel and go for hikes in nature!
I am hoping to live in Thailand permanently, and I am seeking advice on working in Bangkok, particularly in the international development sector. I am also open to other types of work too!
I am planning on coming first for around 3/4 week and see if I like it there and can handle the hot weather.
Don’t want to stay in a hotel, would rather stay in a apartment.
Can someone please recommend and good area to stay in bkk for a newbie?
And also if there is anyone in the same situation as me it would be great to chat too.
Many thanks guys
Shah
I apologies if I am wrong but if you mean a real estate agent your away ahead of yourself
Real estate agents would not be happy to run around the 513,120 sq kilometers of Thailand showing someone who might/maybe move to Thailand.
Are you looking to live by the sea? in the city? The NE of Thailand? North? South? on an Island? You want to rent buy or build? Would help if we knew
Your first move should be where would you like to live the second move make sure you are coming to stay and then find an agent who can find you a place in a few days.
If you want to be shown round Thailand you need a tour guide not an agent
I am looking for a job in Thailand, my wife is Thai.

Agus here, an Indonesian. Moved here from Bali since November last year. Bali was amazing but it was meant for a good holiday spot only I think.
I would be really happy to connect with anyone especially those who's currently living in Bangkok. It would be nice to meet and have a good conversation with like minded people.

Have a great weekend!
I am from the Netherlands live in Bangkok 7.5 months a year currently back in Netherlands.
My daughter lives in Lombok and we met last februari on Bali. Over here in the Netherlands have lots of indonesia people, my brother in law is one of them. Whats your plan in Bangkok . Greetings and maybe more conversation soon, Tom.
I should be sad now, knowing that I didn't passed your "Introduction standard".
Good, sounds like you are familiar enough with Bali, should've been a good topic to pick to start a conversation

I am working here now, since November last year. Means, its been 7 months. What do you do here in Bangkok by the way?
Looking forward for more conversation.
Cheers!
This by the wat was my first reply like this cause i think lots of people use this site but not the wat it should be used.
Have a Nice weekend and good luck in Thailand.
I've been a member of this site since 2015, but just decided to check this forum more active just recently. I definitely have no idea how bad people use this site currently haha,
But I think as long as everyone respect each other and try to help each other as an expatriate community, that's what matter the most. Correct me if I am wrong.
Cheers, A
Been a member for a while but never used this forum much. I figured I'd give it a go. Been in Thailand nearly 20 years now. It's a lovely place most of the time but sometimes it can be a bear to wrap your head around. That part always remains, even if just a tad.
I have family here and live in Samutprakarn. If, I'm around I am always willing to help another expat with questions if they're new to Thailand.
Kind Regards
Jack
Happy to help with advice wherever and whenever I can.
I am currently looking for the best area to live in and which also has a big expat community. I am sporty, played a lot of football in England, so would be looking for any local football teams?
I have worked in Hospitality for the majority of my life, looking for work in Hotels, Resorts, Clubs, any and all Hospitality fields to be honest.
Really excited to get a fresh start in Thailand and meeting all you Expats over there

My name is Kirk.
I've been coming to SE Asia every year, spending more and more time there each visit.
Planning to travel to Vietnam late Feb/2020, spend 3 months there, then head into Thailand on an O-A multiple-entry retirement visa. Good for 1 year, and extendable.
Been thinking very hard and planning this for about 5 or 6 years. I think I must have watched over 3000 YouTube videos....haha!!! Great way to get some good information, and also some bad information.
When I get to Thailand, I'm not positive yet where I'll be located. There is still places I would like to see.
I'm thinking Chiang Rai or Chiang Mai for about 1/2 the year, then when it gets smokey, head down to the Cha Am area.
I've visited many places and Islands. Cha Am, Hua Hin, Rayong, Mae Phim, Ko Samed, Ko Samuii, Ko Phnagan, Chiang Rai, Chiang Mai, Phuket, Pattaya, to name a few........
I'll be on an average budget. Only get a partial pension now, as I am not 65 yet. Need to make my savings last for a few years.
Giving up my apartment here in BC, and going to rent a local storage locker to keep necessities in, in case I return. In a few more years I can decide whether to come back, or stay in SE Asia. I really like to travel, and love SE Asia. Spent time in Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, and Thailand. Might see more countries, unsure.
That's it in a nutshell! Hope everyone is doing well.
Have a great day !
