MATHARE YOUTH TALENT ANF COMMUNITY SPORTS DAY

Mathare Youth Talent & Community Sports Day is a community initiative created to give children and young people from Mathare a safe and positive platform to showcase their talents, build confidence and discover new opportunities.

The event will bring together young football players, photography enthusiasts and other talented youth for a day focused on football, creativity, talent development, mentorship and community connection.

Through football matches and talent showcases, young players will have an opportunity to demonstrate their skills and teamwork. The photography component will encourage young people interested in photography to capture stories and moments from their community while developing their creative skills. Other young talents will also have an opportunity to showcase their abilities.

The event aims to highlight the talent that exists within marginalized communities and create connections between young people, coaches, mentors, photographers, organizations, volunteers and potential supporters.

Our goal is to encourage positive youth engagement, confidence, discipline, creativity and teamwork, while creating pathways for young people to access mentorship, skills development and future opportunities.

We believe that talent should not be limited by where someone comes from or the resources available to them. Through this initiative, we want to create a platform where the young people of Mathare can play, create, learn, connect and be seen.

We welcome community members, volunteers, coaches, mentors, photographers, organizations and potential partners who would like to support and invest in the talents of young people.
