MDEC EP Renewal

Hi,

On the MDEC Expats EP Application Process it states "FKW IS REQUIRED TO BE OUTSIDE MALAYSIA DURING APPROVAL PROCESS". Does anyone know if this applies to renewals?

Given the current EMCO situation and lack of vaccine acceptance in other countries, it seems impractical to leave the country at this moment in time for a renewal. Hoping this statement only applies to new applications?

Does anyone have any recent experience of timescales for renewal approval? For info the FKW projection for my renewal was completed within a matter of days.

Thanks

That statement no longer holds good. Renewals are happening. May take upto 4 weeks due to MCO. Renewal is much easier than a new EP. Not to worry.

For renewal there is no such requirement to exit the country unless the Ex employer refuses to provide Release Letter ya..

Thanks a lot for the quick replies.
