Will Retirement Visa's granted March 2020 permit the Expat to Return?

During March 2020 I was granted a Retirement Visa, with an expiration date of March 2021.

On July 1, 2020, I had to fly to the USA.  I wish to return to my new family in the Isaan Region, and I just do not know if during the Pandemic this is even possible; or if the Kingdom will no longer honor my Thai Visa.

Can anyone with objective information please kindly address this issue, as I trust I am not the only person in this problematic situation.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated kind consideration of this matter.

Sincerely,

Robin

I can't answer your specific questions, although why not apply for a 5-Year Ret Visa vs 1-Year? Post COVID when I can move there, I intend doing the 5-Year right away.

Twodogs:  I do so hope you are successful.

Robin:

As long as you have a re-entry visa and you are prepared to quarantine for two weeks in Thailand then you can enter any time up to March 2021. After that date you will need to get a visa from your nearest Thai Embassy/Consulate.

Dear Bill:

Thank you so very much indeed.

Best wishes,

Robin
