I'm going to possibly be visiting Harar. Wondering if anyone can tell me how communication, wifi or mobile phone service is in the rural areas.

Not sure on rural areas but I did a Google search which showed plenty on wifi hot spots in Harar.
Was there in 2011 and no reception in rural areas.

you u will enjoy u'r stay in the old city of Harar. don't worry about any communication menace. u can have Wifi and mobile data any time. come and visit Harar, a city of love and passion!!!
