VET care, pet insurance,moving from UK with pet

Personally I have never found pet insurance cost effective.
Supermarkets will sell normal cat food. Vets sell mainly specialist cat foods ie for diets etc.

My experiences with Spanish vets is very positive . Much cheaper than the UK . make sure your pet get preventative treatment for sand fly . The product is only available at vets and is similar to Front Line flea treatment . Also worming tablets are only available at vets. Pet food is about the same price as in the UK unless you insist on buying UK brands . Pet supplies are readily available in Supermarkets so no need to buy on line . Hope this helps

Im also moving with my hubby and our Shih Tzu at the beginning of September, we're going to the province of Almeria. In the area around Vera Playa. I have pet insurance here and was looking for a company in Spain? Did you manage to sort one out?
