My flat phone number is 8 digits long. How does one dial the number from outside the country?

Welcome on board stevegh,
If someone is calling you from outside Egypt, he/she will have to insert the Egypt country code which is +20 then region code, then the phone number. I think it will be something like this: (+20 xxx x xxxx)
Else this website can also help you in obtaining the exact phone number that the other party needs to dial to reach you.

i think it must be +202 XXXXXXXX if you are in Cairo and if you at Alex it will be +203

When i call my husbands families house phone fro the US I dial 011-202-xxxxxxxx. works for me! If you're calling from another country(not US) Just dial whatever code is specific to that country first rather then 011(for the US) Hope it helps

I think you have to put (202) in front of your number. For example from Australia my friend use 0011202 then my mobile or hime number. hope this was some help to you.
