We need to look for a school for our 6 and 5 yrs old children, by the time we move to Amsterdam, they will be 7 and 6. They are currently excelling wonderfully at a Montessori school in the U.S. and would like to find a school which can provide similar environment.

-International school with Montessori method
-bilingual Montessori school

Hi and welcome to the Forum.

To be honest, I know nothing about the Montessori education system in Holland, but have found a lot of links on the Internet; this link will take you to one of them. Perhaps you could enquire with the staff at your kids current school to see if they have any ideas/comments on their Dutch colleagues?

I do have experience of taking our kids to Holland at a similar age to yours; we considered using the International schools, but they were so expensive we had to rule them out. All of our kids used the Dutch public school system and thrived (and learnt Dutch really quickly).
