You would help yourself by being more specific. If you are coming for a visit for less then 90 days (or so) then there is not much to explain. If you have a world of ambitions beyond that then there are many pieces of advice that could be given, and there are many people who can give differing opinions. Also, your existing culture may be a significant difference from the Thai culture. Some one coming to Thailand could be in awe of some of the spectacular sights and appalled by many other aspects, perhaps relative to the teachings of their own culture.
What kind of advice are you looking for?
