or authenticated copies done at the cartorio ?

Well, if you need those copies for a VISA request you'll need a clear authenticated copy of your passport, including blank pages.

well , I actually need the copias nitidas to apply for a VIPER visa .
do you know if I need to take an appointment through web site of policia federal
or just go there any day , to apply for the permanent visa ?
