There is nothing extraordinary in Russian weather. In summer average temperature is 30C. Last 2 winters in Moscow were very warm unlike the image of severe Russian winters. In Far East of Russia there was a lot of snow. A lot. 
And like everywhere it's good when weather changes quickly: 2 days of rain, 2 days of heat. But when it's a week of rain of course it's depressive.
