Hi ataneja7,

An express visa can be issued within one working week.

No visa can be converted. The visa holder must necessarily exit the Sultanate and re-enter again.

Between exit and re-entry, there has to be a minimum period of 3-months.

Working in Oman for 8-years, and you do not know that you cannot change jobs so easily ?

Let me only tell you that you must first have an NOC from your sponsor, besides a few other minimum requirements.

What my employer said is that i have to exit and enter and there is no time gap limit.

The Labour laws in the Sultanate are not carved on stone. Nor are they written on water.

Only the PRO of the concerned company can get the latest update on anything official, as there could be many different variations to the same rule.

And that could vary from company to company, depending on a wide spectrum of parameters, and on a case to case basis.
