Hi all
This is gonna be classic

I'm actually going to move to jakarta next week and will be living in hotel for 15days (this period i'm supposed to look for a flat)

The company office is based Jl Kapten Tendean very close to Tendean Square.

What are the best neighbourhood where I should be looking in?
How much can I expect to rent in each of the suggested areas a 2 bedroom fully furnished with swimming pool etc...?
How should I start looking ?

1 Ask around the office
2 Make sure transport isn't a problem _ a Transjakarta route area or walking distance would be helpful to you.
3 Furnished and swimming pool prices will kill you in that area.

Advice.
Many expats come to Indonesia, realise the power of their salary, then promptly go mad with it.
Don't do it, and you'll leave with a fat sack of cash and you'll probably have a better experience anyway.

Actually I'm a homebird, for sure I will try to have a week end out of jakarta per month
But generally if i'm not working or working out I'm home.
So the only thing I may invest a bit in it is my confort home.

You're definitely right about going crazy, I saw that with many expat in my homeland.
