i may be moving to London with family to do a job in the financial industry. What is the average monthly expense in London including rent? for South Asian where is the best place to live (preferably mixed locality), best primary schools? office should be near canary wharf. Is 50 k a good pay?

50K is good, but London is very expensive, you may pay £1200-2000 for your house. I used to live in Canada Water, it's very close to Canary Wharf. I would advise this area, or maybe the docklands.

I'm going to answer the same as always for the salary.

It's difficult to say if it's a good pay or not if we don't have your background :-) Years of experience, diploma...

£40/50k is the salary given to junior in finance.

So it's a really good salary for London (mean salary = 38), but in finance, not that much.
