To be able to move in Malaysia, a lot of expatriates think of buying a car, whether new or second-hand.
What are the formalities to buy a vehicle in Malaysia: car registration, insurance, etc.?
What are the relevant authorities or organizations to contact?
How long does it take and what are the associated costs?

In malaysia, Expat only can buy used cars at the beginning for cash, unless if some one localite help/ assure bank loan then can buy new car.

There is no restriction to purchase vehicle in Malaysia. However if you need hire-purchase, you need a legal work permit with employment and a guarantor.
As for registration of vehicle with the Road Transport Department, the sales person of your choice of car should be able to assist you.
