Yogi Dies

No, not our own Yogi here but Yankees icon and Hall of Fame catcher, Yogi Berra dies at age 90.  For those US expats and are into American baseball.  Yogi was regarded as one of the greatest catchers of all time.

I am young enough to remember him.
My Father and I would watch New York Yankees and Detroit Tigers battle it out when Al Kaline was with Tigers back in 70's and Mickey Mantle was in game.
Great Classic Baseball. Before mega pay and all the glitz. Yes sharing the games with my Father.

You know Gang ... The BEST days as a Teenager were when I finished Wrestling Team practice and then ... Father would be waiting, we sat and had a " hot black Michigan Coffee " together. In a donut shop in old pre - tourist ( pre Indian Casino ) town
Of Mount Pleasant, Michigan.
Yes. Hot coffee with my Pop. Great moments. The ice and slush crackle under foot. The " thunk " of the doors of the old 75 Ford pickup truck and driving home with Dad. Best. Best...

Does any one else have a memory like that ?

Cheers gang!! God bless you all. My Family.
