Need Help in understanding malaysian salary

Hi everyone,

Currently I am working and residing in India and I have a job offer to come and work in Malaysia.

my package is 1 Lakh / month gross salary in india.

now i have been offered RM 9500.00

i would live alone there, how much would be my monthly expenses, and how much can i save.

Wow! looks good. You must be taking up quite a senior role here. How much you need or how much you can save depends on where you live and what is covered by the company. If you are paying for accommodation out of your own pocket that makes a lot of difference. In any case, 9.5k is a good salary. That seems to be the thumb rule for people being hired from India. Double the current Indian salary and convert to myr. Savings depends on your way of living but roughly 2-3k would be savings.
