I really like French concession. Lots of places to go in the evening, very vibrant atmosphere.

JiangAn District and HuangPu District are recommended,
cause they are located at the center of Shanghai, good living support facilities and good traffic area.

I agree with my fellow expats, though keep in mind that your living place shouldnt be much to far from your working place
There are also quite nice places a bit off-the-beat...
