Just been reading some of the old blogs and really confused. We were planning to drive a car over to Malta and calculated what the import tax would be, according to the Malta Govt site. We also asked about it last time we came to Malta.
No one mentioned a different scale of annual road tax for imported cars though. Can someone please enlighten us????

All cars are imported in Malta.
Circulation tax is based on the engine size, emissions etc and for a newly imported car will increase every year.
