Nursing in canada

I am a nurse from singapore and my boyfriend (studying industrial engineering) and I hopes to migrate to canada in the near future. We arent really fussed about which part of canada but prefer ontario or nova scotia. I hope someone can give me advise on what is the best way of finding a job there. I understand that I can travel there for holiday purpose and look for a job and if i get it then the employer can apply for me a work permit. Is that the best way of getting a job or should I apply from here.

Another thing I hope to know is because my boyfriend has only a diploma in industrial engineering but is working as a AV technician inside a hospital now, would it be hard for him to get a job in canada as he does not have a degree. What would the best advise be for him?

Thank you in advance for your replies and I really hope to hear from anyone soon.

Hi eleous,

One of the best areas in Canada in terms of availability of jobs would be Alberta. Edmonton and Calgary have more jobs available than people to fill them. The cost of living there would be lower than in major cities in Ontario as well. Visit the Citizenship and Immigration Canada official government website regarding visas.
