Moving to Malta with a disability

I am 44 years old, with a disability that makes it difficult for me to work. Could anyone give me any advice on how i would go about moving to malta from the uk, whether i would be able to bring my benefits with me or apply for benefits there and whether there is some sort of help with housing or if there is affordable housing for people that are either unable to work or that can only do low paid jobs. Any help, advice or pointers would be very helpful. Thankyou in advance.

Look at this UK Government web site for information  on benefits abroad. There is also a section that tells you what other EU countries may provide.
Malta is not the most user friendly of places for the disabled, narrow or no pavements, steep steps and no ramps for wheelchairs are just a few of the problems. However it does depend on your level of disability.

Good luck!

If you are a wheel chair user then I would say you are going to find it VERY difficult, if not impossible in some places, to get about.

The following website might help - includes a report on wheelchair access in Malta
