New to Shanghai

Hello everybody,

I moved to Shanghai about 4 weeks ago.  I will spend the entire summer (until mid August) studying mandarin.   I just joined this Expat.com thing recently and it is still very difficult to meet normal, interesting people lol.  what is interesting to do out here?  I've done the usual Yu Yuan garden, the bund, many museums, and other touristy things.  Also I have partook in the nightlife, and though it was all really fun, it seemed too typical.  I've been to Omalleys, zapatas, shanghai brewery, the camel, M 1 or 2 or 3 or something like that, and others that didn't have relevant names.  Know of any others that are interesting, any other places worth checking out, or any places where it is easier to meet english speaking individuals?
