Wanting to move to Thailand

Hi everyone,

I recently visited Chiangmai and have decided this is the place to raise my family. Now the hard part, finding work!!! Do you know of any good recruitement agencies in Chiangmai? I also heard if you become an english teacher, your kids get to go to school for free. Is this true?? If true, does it matter where you teach and where your kids go to school? For example, can they be in an english international school for free if I teach in a different location? How easy is it to find a teaching job with just a TEFL certification and no degree??

Hope someone can help me out. Thanks in advance.
Steve

Hey Steve

I believe that if you work for an international school your kids get free schooling, if not you need to pay, international fees p/year 225 000baht. otherwise try bi-lingual school, though they get taught in Thai and a bit in english, this is what I have been told.  I am from south africa, looking to make the move to Thailand
