I am contemplating a move from US to the Cotswolds area. Ideally I need a decent house and some acreage (approximately 10) for my pack of rescue dogs. I am a retired US Marine officer, lawyer and law professor.
Any and all advice is welcome.

Cotswolds is nice, but is rather touristy. If you want real English countryside...move to Staffordshire. The houses are cheaper and every other person has a dog too.
