Retired Teacher. Can I live in Busan on US$1,500/month?

I am a retired teacher from the states and I would like to re-locate to Busan.  1. Can I live there on $1,500/month. What about rentals? 2.  Is it hard to live there for an extended period as a retired non-working person? 3. Can I go there and *THEN* look for a teaching job? I would appreciate any advice. Thanks.

Hello Harar,
This is Steve living in Busan. Yes, U$1,500 per month can cover rent U$500, Food U$500, and others U$500.-

First three months is allowed whoever in Korea to get a job. You should get the VISA you need during this period. When you get the stamp, you have to go out Korea and back to Korea. Many of foreign teachers go to Japan.

If you need any help, you can contact my email address stevesourceline@hotmail.com
I am landlord of rent building operating 24 units in Kwanganri area. I have several foreign teachers living my building.
That is why I got some information.
Good luck.
