Buying a car in South Korea

Hi,

To be able to move in South Korea, a lot of expatriates think of buying a car, whether new or second-hand.

What are the formalities to buy a vehicle in South Korea: car registration, insurance, etc.?

What are the relevant authorities or organizations to contact?

How long does it take and what are the associated costs?

Thank you in advance for sharing your experience,

Kenjee

hi,

Buying Car some time its very easy and some time very difficult. The more important thing is whom you are buying car., if you find korean car seller  might chance of cheat you. if you find cheap car in Incheon or Seoul Area through internet, most of them are cheater . They will talk to you and says come and buy car but when you go there they will you can check other car the particular car is sold out. So be careful. for new cars i don't have idea. If anyone need help in Busan, I can help you to find car and let you know easy process. Insurance is compulsory in Korea the insurance fee varies with companies.
