Though you may not move abroad for a country's climate alone, it can definitely be one of its most attractive features. For those coming from colder climes, warmer year-round temperatures can seem very appealing, while anyone living in extreme heat may see the appeal in a more temperate year-round climate. Here are some of the places with the best year-round climate.

Australia

Australia is a huge country with a range of climates, with a large part consisting of the dry heat of desert that takes up most of the central region of the country. However, most of its major cities lie on the coast around the island continent, and even these have varying climates depending on where they are located. Sydney is well-known for its summer heat, and if you don't mind the humidity, this may the place for you. The winter month of July sees the lowest temperatures, though this doesn't usually drop below the double digits and tends to be on average 13 degrees Celsius. However, the bustling metropolitan is prone to extreme weather events such as heatwaves, so if you aren't used to the rocketing temperatures, be prepared for the change.

New Zealand

Australia's neighbour is formed of two main islands, and the different latitudes and altitudes again result in quite a range of temperatures and rainfall within the country itself. The country gained notoriety thanks to its landscape forming an integral part of the Lord of the Rings movie franchise. Though you will likely receive your fair share of rain if you are moving to New Zealand, the summer months in the North Island tend to be around 20 degrees Celsius. Though the winter tends to be quite wet, it is also quite mild, with temperatures in the low teens. If you don't mind the rain, New Zealand offers both mountains to explore and beaches to lounge on in an overall temperate climate.

USA

America is another country that effectively constitutes most of a continent, resulting in all manner of climes from snowy peaks to sun drenched beaches. Expats living in the USA can benefit from the different cultures, cuisines and climates in every corner of the country. However, for the best climate, one need look no further than California. Though Florida is known as the sunshine state, California certainly sees its fair share of sunny weather. One might assume that, if areas such as Death Valley are to be any indicator, the climate is extremely hot and dry. While this is true in some areas, other areas are warm with low levels of rainfall, without the extreme heat. Like New Zealand, the temperature in winter doesn't fall below the mid-teens, with temperatures around 25 degrees Celsius, but without all the humidity and rain.

Spain

If you are looking to escape the winter blues and move to somewhere where sun doesn't stop shining, Spain is a popular choice in Europe. A popular holiday destination amongst Europeans in particular, the country has a number of destinations within it that could prove to be the perfect fit for expats seeking a never-ending summer. Malaga, on the Costa del Sol, enjoys hot summer with temperatures around the 30 degrees mark and mild winters in the high teens and low twenties. Las Palmas in the Canary Islands has a similar climate, but with even warmer winter months that hover around 20 degrees Celsius. If your seeking more of a city lifestyle, but with the benefits of warmer climes, Barcelona also offers expats hot summers and winters that require just a light jacket.

South Africa

Although you can find extreme weather if you're living in South Africa, from rainfall to wind, you can also find favourable climates. Port Elizabeth in particular is well-known for its year-round dry, warm climate, with few extreme fluctuations (though it also has a reputation for its sea breeze). Besides being a busy port, Port Elizabeth also has several beaches for you to enjoy the balmy weather. The popular tourist destination of Cape Town also has mild winters and warm summers, although expats can expect some precipitation during the height of winter. Nonetheless, summer itself tends to be quite dry, allowing you to make the most of your scenic surroundings.
