Hello people living in Cambodia ! smile.png

I would like to know if there is a visa for people working on remote and who would like to stay in Cambodia for a year or two.

Is there a minimum monthly salary required or any other criteria ?

I have been searching a bit but can't seem to find any exact information ! hmm.png

Thank you ! smile.png

Unfortunately not. The rules have become more complicated in recent years. All information can be found on the forum "Cambodia Visa and Work Permit Group"

Good luck!

It's called Business Extension of Stay. Can be for 1, 3, 6 or 12 months.

You need to register your business first,  get the extension and after that a work permit.

Good luck.

Alright, but it's not a business that I have, I am not an entrepreneur, I am working for a company but on remote.

Thank you !

Sorry to say but you are working in Cambodia and you need a work permit plus a EB (business)  extension of stay.
You need an employers letter and the company you work for needs to be registered in Cambodia.

If not registered the best way is to register yourself as a business owner as I prescribed before.

Good luck.

Joe, I've tried a couple of times to join/search for questions on the Cambodia visa group, but can never access any of the questions you must read before applying.

I've had my first vaccination jab, and wonder if this will help.
Nothing from PP visa office and the UK embassy offered only a dodgy freelance letter for a "job" (with an unspecified fee) Arriving at PP - in my late 80s unlikely!

I need my retirement visa renewing... Really missing my loved ones in PP but at least they are OK.
Will.

Hello Will.

Vaccination doesn't help now, maybe later but already they have been talking about sticking to quarantine no matter vaccination.

Makes sense as vaccination doesn't guarantee you won't get infected nor that you can't infect others.

I assume your retirement extension has expired?

A pity, otherwise you could enter without any hassle for a visa.

If you have no visa you need to get one from a Cambodian embassy and their requirements differ depending on the embassy.

I'm sorry to not have better news for you but the times are too tough to predict improvement.

Cheers

Joe

Hi Joe - thanks again;

Yes, my ER visa expired November;
If they insist on current requirements, they're accepting tourism finished for now.
That's not good news, especially for a lot of poorer workers.

It looks as if most airlines may not let unvaccinated passengers book, which I agree with, but at above 90% efficiency for most vaccines, the risk would be extremely low, and mostly in my age group, but yes, you may still infect others, so we must hope time will help.
Cheers, hope you all keep well,
Will.

Will there are hardly countries if at all that have less restrictions for people that are vaccinated.

It will pay a role in the future, like getting vaccination passports, but the current restrictions will still be in place.

Cheers

Joe.
