Hello-

I've been getting a lot of conflicting info on what to budget for legal expenses. I want to obtain the Pensionado Visa for myself and my wife too if I can swing it. My questions:

1) What's a reasonable budget?
2) Can folks recommend someone for me to contact? Looking for an attorney who gets A+ reviews from other Americans.

Thanks in advance for responding!

After thorough research I hired Marcos Kraemer. I know mayra is an option too. You can check both websites and take your decision. I have seen testimonials from both after joining panama relocation tours. And other panama groups.

Marcos Kraemer did a great job for us, and is recommended by many others. There are prices on his website kraemerlaw.com  ( kraemerlaw dot com)

Has anyone used the service of PanamaRelocationTours ?   They have a 'package' that gives you all contacts for all of this, for I think $500.

I've listened to some of their calls, and Jackie appears quite nice and very genuine.
Just curious?

I bought that because you get support. When coming to a new country. I have done thorough research and found her information to be reliable. The info i knew given most of the research I did, but the peace of mind is important

Jackie Lange had been here for I think 10 years, and I've found her to be well informed and sensible.  The Panama Relocation Tours are highly respected for the wealth of realistic information and they have many happy clients. She wants people to be able to make good decisions, no "come to paradise" stuff just to find it isn't as advertised. But, the tours were booked up months in advance even before the pandemic. This is why they put all the information together in a publication, for all the people who can't take the tours. https://blog.thepanamaadventure.com/202 … tion-tour/

My thoughts exactly. As my Spanish is 'nada' or worse, it behooves one to have as much information as possible.

We are able to do it for the same price as the competitors, can provide faster communication, do not add any hidden fees that other will suddenly add as "extra costs" in the process, and our fees include the Cedula (ID card) which many will not do or will charge an extra fee when your pension visa is complete.

Currently there is an issue at immigration. Some officers are now asking for additional repatriation fees. Depending on who you have relationships with you may he able to get them to waive this extra fee, while others may not have those relationships only to lure you in with a low initial price and once you have already paid and started the process suddenly get hit with these extra fees.

Contact Joshua Martinez with Joyful Feet at immigrate(at)protonmail(dot)com. We are also listed in the expat business directory.

Andypaez: When you bought the online relocation book, did you get “special pricing” from the lawyer  as advertised by the book? The pricing on the K&K website indicates $1900 per person and $2800 per couple for the pensionado visa. I’m debating whether I should spend $600 for the book
