Coming for a visit to Split

Coming for a visit to Split soon.  Any tips/advice?  I also want to explore remote working in Croatia in the future.   Currently working remotely in the US.  Medical Imaging specialist, an analyst for legal consultants.  Cheers,  thanks for any tips.

Nearby islands of Brac and Hvar well connected with Split by ferry service are worth visiting.  Croatia is considering an introduction of Digital Nomad Visa next year.  You can follow the updates on the visa topic on line through Total Croatia News or Croatia Week.  For a longer stay in Croatia I suggest
you also consider Rijeka / Opatija in the Northern part of the Adriatic (Kvarner Bay region).   After first exploring Dubrovnik and Split areas, I have finally decided for Rijeka / Opatija for a longer stay.  It offers Adriatic and islands but also proximity to Italy and Slovenia.  Good luck with your plans!

Thank you so much for the tips, I will check them out for sure.  I think there are a few island tours that I looked at.  I will for sure look into Rijeka / Opatija area as well.  I read that it is easier to find apartments there.  I don't know if I would be ready to be a digital nomad next year, but I want to get all the information I can.  Do you take public transportation?  Cheers  :)

Yes, It is easier with the apartments in our area.  Also, there is very active expat group in Rijeka / Opatija (you can join on the facebook).  In  our area, there is relatively good bus public transport and relatively cheap taxi and uber service....I prefer bicycle since most of the year when I am here weather is very inviting for a bike ride....Croatia is little bit of  a hidden secret for the expats....once you here you want to stay....:)

Thank you for your tips.    I came back from my trip 2 weeks ago tomorrow.  I had such a lovely time, although it was a bit sad because visiting was so limited and a lot of companies were very slow.  It was difficult to find tours, but with the help of my accommodation host, I managed.  Just visiting the beautiful area surrounding Split was really (I know sounds corny) magical.  Such a beautiful area, I am now looking for adding to my ability to work remotely so I can become a digital nomad.  I would love to network with digital nomads in Croatia, any tips are very appreciated.
Thank you to the people of Split for your hospitality in difficult times. It was very easy to manage my excursions and being out and about.
I am hoping things become more normal for us all soon.  All the best to the people of Split and Croatia.
