Access to the National Health System and Covid19

Thank you Johnny.  That was helpful. Can't wait to receive my 3rd dose.

Julia

Hello again !

I have received an sms with a date and time and location for my covid19 vaccination ; however my mobile cannot answer to. 'Centro Da Vacinaçao 2424',  so I am puzzled with that and not sure of what to do ? Any idea ? I am afraid to miss my appointment just for a technical issue.

Thanks a lot.

Julia

Hi Julia,

You will need to send an SMS to the number 2424 with the following format:

SNS.nnnnnnnnn.SIM

Where
'SNS' means National Health System
'SIM' means YES
nnnnnnnnn = your NHS number

If you do not send this SMS, your vaccination appointment will not be validated...

You must send the SMS from your phone number. If your mobile phone has a technical problem, use another mobile phone, putting your SIM card in the new one.

Just to add… do it exactly as JohnnyPT shows you, or you might get an error. I forgot the “.” and received an error.

Good luck!

Thanks I will try. It's not possible to do it from someone else's phone with my UT number and my 'sim' number ? It will probably create some confusion. I have mentioned that to LYCAMOBILE and they just said ' we are sorry to hear that' but nothing was done to correct the problem. So annoying.

In case nothing works, can I just show up at my 'appointment' even if not validated in time ?

Julia

Thanks,

Julia

As I have said before, you can use someone else's mobile phone by putting your SIM card there, and send the SMS.

You must always confirm the appointment with SMS. However, there is now the open house facility (without scheduling), but only if you are 60 or older. Just appear there at the vaccination centre.

I understand. It's just that I am kind of isolated and asking someone else's phone is a little delicate thing to ask.

From 9th January 22, the vaccination certificate includes information about the 3 doses (with the 3rd dose taken at least 14 days ago).

From 10th January 22, those vaccinated with 3 doses are exempted from negative test to enter into restaurants, hospitals, care homes, events, gyms, ...

I actually had not noticed that for those vaccinated (2 doses) a negative test is required to enter a gym. Are you sure that this is the case?

The report with the new rules from 10 January is as follows:

You are quite right. For gyms, the vaccination certificate becomes mandatory, but the negative test is not mandatory.

The negative test becomes mandatory (if you don't have all 3 doses) for:
- visits to care homes and hospitals
- large events and events without fixed seating capacity or in improvised spaces
- sports events

I have just joined the SNS 15 minutes ago. Documents needed were passport NIF and resident permit. In my case the CRUE. very simple.

Access to SNS - Portal do Utente Online / NHS user area

To access the NHS user area (and obtain paperless prescriptions, medical appointments, vaccination booklets, etc) you should choose the third option shown here:

https://servicos.min-saude.pt/utente/

"Número de Utente de Saúde".

The validation is by your SNS User Number, your date of birth and your phone number.

The phone number (Portuguese mobile phone, from any of the Meo, Nos or Vodafone networks) should be previously provided to your local health centre.
