1 BR Apartment

Im just wondering on average how much is a 1 BR apartment going for in Davao outside the city center

I just moved back to the USA from Davao city and I rented a 1 br at one oasis in ecoland for 22000 pesos. Check there for a long term and try to negotiate with owner.

$440 Is not cheap, should be able to do better, don't expect hot water.

Hi Tariq and welcome to the forum, enjoy and contribute.
While I have never been to Davao, on the bucket list though can give you a different comparison. 7 years ago we rented a condo in San Lazero Sta Cruz, a little N/E of Intramuros in Manila. It was 2 bed, 2 bath, plus a small maids quarters with its own shower and toilet,,,,,,, it was tiny and we used it as our junk room. A/C in the master B/R and the open plan kitchen, dining and lounge, hot water in the master, seperate laundry, partially furnished, 2 balconies, huge communal swimming pool, no gym and 24/7 security guards, visitors were escorted up to our apartment, walk across the road to SM San Lazero. They wanted 30K per month, we got it for 25K on a 12 month lease, we even got our 50K deposit back.

I am sure you will find 1 bedroom apartments in and around Davao for half that or less from looking online. We stayed in a BnB for a month while we looked, better boots on the ground as well as getting info online.

Good luck and hope you get more info

Cheers, Steve.

Steve gave you great info. Lamudi is a good source. Just don't try to line something up ahead of time, it won't work. Everyone and their cousin will list properties, most have no credentials. There will be plenty of places available when you arrive in country.

I used Lamudi for my condo in AC.  Many of the listings turn out to be duplicates or out of date.  Also, for the most part, each listing is with a different agent so one agency might have 10 listings and you could be forced to deal with 10 different agents.

Good rent prices...
