It pays to be an American

The gist of the rescue is $1200 to each taxpayer. $600 per week for unemployed up to four months , money for small businesses to make payrolls. Loans for companies to big to fail including Casinos.

WHICH REMINDS ME, when I moved to Vegas, during tax season the Casinos would do your tax returns for free. Some would even loan you money against anticipated refunds.

If you didn't have a bank account the casinos would cash your refund check for free. They would also give you a "comp" of free play.

Expats, did you received your 3oz can of Sardines and 3oz can of Corned beef today?

Nope! Still have last years rich bounty hand-me-outs! I'm am feeling generous this year and wish to have my Sardines and Corned Beef delivered to any Manila High Rise Penthouse  as a gift!

What a great moment to witness as an American. Brazil is giving away 200 reais equivalent to 39USD to its citizens.

You can give the corned beef to me bro! I can´t find US quality corned beef in Brazil. Libby´s and even the corned beef from Walmart  are made in Brazil but I can´t find those products anywhere in Brazil. Their sardine quality also sucks!

Actually not like roast beef or any other sliced meat from a deli. It's something in a can that looks like shredded wheat cereal, but it's beef. maybe a step up from Alpo.

Which reminds me, when my first visit to a Philippine  Mall, there was a grocery store with a deli. They had Pastrami and it looked good. Now in the states sliced deli meat is sold by the pound. "Give me a pound of this, 1/4 pound of that, or make that 1/2 pound", you get the idea.

I was confused about the transition of grams, kilograms to ounces and pounds. Also confusing was the pricing, some was by kilograms and some by grams unbeknown by me.

The price looked right so I placed my order, I ended up with about a bill of $35 USD and a huge pile of Pastrami. . . . I was shocked.

S&R (member club, but a poor imitation of Sam's Club or Costco) here in the Philippines have loads & loads of American products, "but" that's a BIG BUT, you will pay through the nose. Example can of Folgers ground coffee around $16.

So Robal, you might look for a membership club, it might have some American stuff, but be prepared for a nose bleed.

No membership clubs like Sam´s or Costco yet. And Brazil is an economic powerhouse and a very big country. Walmart came but apparently did not make any money so it went away. It sold the stores back to Big, another supermarket similar to Costco.

Stay away from the canned meat unless you want butt cancer.

Colorectal cancer... I don´t routinely use canned or processed foods as it also contributes to cardiovascular diseases aside from the condition I just mentioned. Only on my self quarantine which I´m now doing. It might last longer to 6 mos - that´s a fair enough reason to go for a longer lasting protein source.
