Air purifier - what to look for

Looking to buy an air purifier for my studio apartment.

From what I can work out, the following are important to consider:

1) area of room/apartment/house.
2) High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filter. It seems there are some products with gimmicky advertising out there. e.g. “HEPA-type,” “HEPA-like,” or “99% HEPA,”, which are not genuine HEPA.
3) Cost of replacing filters, ease of purchasing, and maintenance.

4) ACH (Air Change per hour) rate and CADR (Clean air delivery) rate.
5) Air quality display on board and/or through smartphone app.
6) Ease of use.
7) Noise db level.
8) EMF radiation emitted.

The last one I've just leaned while doing some research. Apparently, even the best air purifiers can fall foul with this one.

Can you think of anything else to add to the list above.

BTW, I've been looking at the Hitachi EP-PZ50J:

https://www.homeappliances.hitachi.com/ … pz50j.html

Few other websites also have the specification. However, none of them have an ACH or CADR rate as such. Only list Air Flow rate (m3/min).

No expert.. but two obvious parts for me would be noise and HEPA filter.

Have you thought of looking in the Mi store? They are a division of Xiamoi and build just about everything including purifiers and filters.

I saw one in the shop the other day at Cantavil and was very impressed by build and features

There is one company name Icare Vietnam from (Taiwan) you can find it on this link.

As a non-expert (a layman) you don't mind if your air purifier emits EMF radiation to the tune of 200mG, as long as the noise level and HEPA filter are good?

when I used to live in a house (not in the tiny apartment like now), we had a Bissell purifier
don't know if it's good for your needs, but you can check I guess.

In my case, I bought a Sharp, because I prefer to trust a famous brand, even if it's a little bit more expensive, something like https://meta.vn/may-loc-khong-khi-sharp … e-w-p57383 (the model size depends of the size of your room).
I use it for example in stong mode during 1 hour, and I see the fine particles decrease for example from 080 to 002 (PM2.5), then I switch to sleep mode (slow but without noise).
BUT I don't trust the indicator! It indicates less than the reality. So I bought also a hand particle detector, I bought the "Xiaomi Smartmi PM2.5 Air Detector" for 705,000 VND.
And the most important, check or improve the isolation of your windows, fine particles enter even when the window is closed.

Probably good. I bought Sharp but Hitachi seems good too, even maybe better.

Did see a Sharp one:

I didn't go ahead with purchase as it was for 38m2 area. My apartment is only 25m2. Seemed Over the Top (OTP).

Haven't bought one yet, so it's now back in my radar. Thanks for your input.

I didn't buy this model, but one for 48m2, because it's the size of my apartment.
Not sure this model displays on board the air quality level.
I went to a Điện máy XANH shop.

I searched first a Philips, but not found, there are not the same models than in Europe or USA, just Asian brands...

come to think of it, that was another reason that put me off this model. (I want display clearly visible at front. Not on top or hidden underneath a panel)
