Working in Barcelona - Architecture

Hi guys,

I'm looking to making the move within the next year or so, absolutely love this place as I'm sure you all do too.

Does anyone work in architecture? Or have friend that work in architecture?

In the U.K. architectural assistants work on a 3 level basis.

Part 1 - degree from university
Part 2 - masters degree from university
Part 3 - final exam to be a fully chartered architect.

In the U.K. it's possible to work with just the part 1 or part 2 as a architectural assistant. Does anyone know the process of an architects chartership in Barcelona?

Also anybody know if the profession ‘Architectural technologist' is recognised in Barcelona?

Thank you,

Oliver

Just in passing.

If Brexit happens without a deal then everything which applies now may, probably will, change as U.K. will be a non EU country.

If there is a deal, then depending on the agreement,  things may also change.

Thus plans to move to the EU as a U.K. national may  need to be re- examined

Hi john,

Thanks for the reply -  That's my main reason for holding off at the moment with the uncertainty of the Brexit malarkey. There should be, hopefully a way to move out but Like you say subject to any changes.

I mostly want to clarify how Spain/Barcelona value architects and what the requirements are in architectural practices.

Cheers,
Oliver
