As an expat living in Laos,how did you spend you time over the festive season. With family and friends perhaps.
Did you find a place to celebrate Xmas with the usual big meal or just partake of Lao style food. Did you raise a glass or 2 to bring in the New year.
I know Western type celebrations are slowly becoming the norm and the younger generation are taking to them like a duck to water.

Happy belated NY Stumpy. We went to Udon to see the lotus flowers. If you haven't done this, I can recommend it. They are beautiful.
