Free and low-cost leisure activities in Croatia

Croatia does offer lots of interesting activities.

I would say the most common free activity in the country is the open parks. Croatia has lots of open green spaces and parks that are free and open 24h. Besides that, the country also has lots of free playgrounds for kids. In almost every neighborhood you can find at least one playground.

Besides that Croatia also has lots of nice events!

To celebrate Springtime and warmer and longer days, Zagreb also hosts the Street Festival "Cest is dbest". A free open festival that happens in various different locations in Zagreb. During the period of Advent, right before Christmas, most of the Croatian cities, but especially Zagreb, transforms itself into a magical land. It's amazing to go around and feel the festivities atmosphere. Every year, during this period you can also watch a different kind of manifestation, shows, concerts and presentations, all for free. During Advent each city has its own calendar of festivities, so keep a look at the info/touristic center of your hometown.
