The Cyber wrestlers of Banglore are in Absolute denial or- they purposefully only talk garbage about other places in India so that people are hoodwinked into thinking that Banglore streets are safe for females. The guys from Banglore write tonnes of msgs on forums including this site talking all negative things as their obsession (as an expert on other cities of India), but very strangely never talk of the unsafe envious of Banglore for females.
These cyber wrestlers from Banglore never even talk of a chronic problem of Banglore- that the police try to not lodge a complaint for a crime lest it shows bad in the crime statistics of Banglore..
The above link posted in the beginning by me illustrates the mentality of guys on Banglore streets even on new year's eve, what to talk of other normal days... & it also shows how Police is either incapable or insensitive towards woes of molested girls.
Read the news report, & be wise after reading it. Such a scary & mass scale unlawfulness (that too in presence of police !!!!! ) is simply unthinkable in any other part of India .

"Eve teasing " seems to be seen as acceptable by way too many people, including at least one idiotic government minister.
I thought it was all newspaper hype until I looked up the numbers, and they're frightening. Rape seems to be a nothing crime in the eyes of many men, meaning the rape figures are truly terrible.

Looking back, most local posters seem to dismiss the numbers as wrong for any number of weak excuses.

An Indian minister who said groping at New Year celebrations in Bangalore was caused by women dressing "like Westerners" has caused outrage.

(Here I am not even talking of the Japanese tourist girl who was Gang-Raped last month in Kerela- another south Indian state- a tourist destination again claimed to be a paradise for expats) there are numerous such ugly incidents involving Rapes & Rape+Murder of females in South India...
