Meetup.com - is there something similar?

Hi all,

I'm a Brit and been living in the UAE for the past three years. I'll be moving across to Bahrain in a few months with my new job.

Of. course, when there would like to meet new guys and gals as soon as possible to socialize and keep sane.

Meetup.com is pretty popular in both Abu Dhabi and Dubai, but I've checked Bahrain and there are no groups. Is there something similar that people use in Bahrain? If so, what's the web address?

Also, will likely join the rugby club and British Club. Any members on here that I can meet and who will help me meet others?

I would love to propose but I have a feeling that i don't know Bahrain well enough. I like Bahrain yet I'd rather not to rush into hasty proposals May be if we can spend more quality time I can propose ideas
