So why don't you start organizing [Expat.com] meetings with different kind of activities like treks, pic-nics or parties, like it is already been done on many forums here on Expat.com. They tend to get more and more success.
Just a little advise so as to not create too much confusion: for each meet up organized start a new topic with precise location, date and timing and theme.
When we notice them we pin them on top of the forum to give them more visibility
