Prescriptions

are prescription charges expensive in Bulgaria but I suppose it depends on your needs.

As you say it depends on your needs.
I pay about 50 lev a month for prescriptions that would cost over 200 lev if i weren't connected to the healthcare system.

Given that we as UK/EU citizens enjoy the reciprocal healthcare agrement we have some idea already about the sytem but how much do the medicines prescribed cost wnen one goes to the pharmacist ?

Since I suffer from some long term work related conditions I have quite a few items prescribed monthly . Is there some kind of season ticket system like in the UK ?

thanks
