Hi Cat (and everyone else),

Hope you're settling in to life in Milan okay!
I'm from Glasgow and am moving to Milan on the 26th September for at least a year to teach English in a new school there. I know zero Italian right now so would love to meet some English speakers when I move.

I am also struggling to find a room for rent in the center - could anyone recommend any websites or know of anyone who is renting one out?

Thank you :)

Nicola

Hi Mister Photographer and Hélène,

Do you want to have a drink at the Navigli tonight ?

If someone else is seeing this and is available, please join !

Hey guys, anyone would like to meet this weeknd? I dont know anyone here and i would love to make some friends ( i moved in 4 days ago;)

ciao tutti.

so who like to meet up at cologne this weekend?

regards ,
gayan

What is Cologne?

I think he meant Colonne meaning columns (Colonne di San Lorenzo). It's a cool night hangout spot with roman (if I'm not mistaken) columns where everyone drinks and chills outside under the sky :). It gets quite crowded when the weather is nice.

Other cool places would be corso como (garibaldi) with nice bars and quite elegant ambiance (it's newly revitalized so looks clean :P ). Then there is corso sempione (street infront of arco Della pace which looks like arc d'triomph) :)

Hi Nicola,
Renting an apartment is quite painful in Milan lol. But that being said, here is a great website to get you started - http://www.immobiliare.it
You will bump into Italian everywhere here and majority of the people won't speak english (outside of the touristy places ofcourse) -_- so just be prepared for that :)

Hi people. I am moving to Milan in the end of the month. Add one more spot for the hang outs. Grazie!

Ciao!
I'm originally from the US (NYC) but been living in Milan for a few years now. Would be great to catch up with other english speakers!
For the newcomers, welcome to Milan, and let me know if I can be of any help.

How about a mid-week aperitivo in Brera?

Ciao,
Vic

Victor, im in!

i am in too

Hi all!  I'm interested in meeting up with everyone too, I've lived in Milan for two years now.  I've been taking a "vacation" back home in California for 9 months, but will be back in Milan in October.

Hi...i live in MIlano and i would like to know new people and improve my english.

ciao

Hi guys,

I just moved to Milan as part of work for three months. I don't speak Italian (which is a shame I know) so it would be nice to meet a few English speakers while I am here.

If anyone knows of any soccer teams in the area that I could join that would be great also. I would love to play while I am here. English or Italian speaking it doesn't really matter.

ciao,
Liam
