Hello! I'm a teacher from FL, planning to spend a month in Jamaica this summer and retire there soon. I'm looking for a quiet, non-touristy town where I can live simply, walk to daily needs, and keep rent below $500/month, if possible. I'd like help finding a good place that is also safe. I feel that online prices are higher because they think tourists are wealthy. I thought you guys would be a better source. Looking forward to any tips or advice!
