Shipping Household Goods - just a box or two

BOONDOCK-SAINT

Hello all,

I didn't want to hijack the other active thread on this topic. I plan to bring with me two suitcases and possibly ship two boxes of towels, winter clothes, electronics, and other low value items to PT.

Asking your opinions here - do you think it's worth the appr $150usd to ship this stuff, or just re purchase once I am already there? I bought these large beach towels in the US at Costco for cheap, I doubt I could purchase them there for anywhere near the same price. The same goes for heavy Carhartt jackets, boots and dishes.

Anyone willing to share their experiences or thoughts on this? What was your personal experience?

Can anyone better inform me of my shopping capabilities in cities or rural areas?

Thanks in advance for the assist.

A popular company is Send My Bag they even come to your home and collect. But of course, other similar companies do the same.

I would ship the items. Why not take two addition items/suitcases/boxes with you on your flight. That's usually not very expensive.
