Renting a Airbnb in Fortaleza what is the tax ?

@NewBrazil I use airbnb frequently and have never seen this.  When you book, you see the price.  I would recommend you call airbnb and ask.  They are very helpful.

That sounds a tad suspicious - have used AirBnB all over the world and never come across this.

05/08/24    I been looking at Airbnb rentals and when you see the price they say without tax. I been trying to find out what the tax will add to the price but not been able to find anything. If anyone has experience in this please give me a way to figure out what the real cost would be in the Airbnb rental. Thank again for any response

I see that notation when I open the site in both English and Portuguese.  I've always ignored it, assuming that it was on there as a warning that, for destinations that tack on additional taxes (like sales taxes in the United States that vary by state and locality), AirB&B does not track those taxes and can't tell you what they'll be.

As you know, that's not how transaction taxes work in Brazil,  and I've never seen any taxes added on anywhere in this country.
