Hello everyone!

My name is Michael, I'm originally from Austria/Europe and I'm currently working on my dream of building a community on a shared property on Dominica (Friendly Earth Dominica [link moderated]). I know that many have tried to do something like this before... But something inside me says that this time it will come true.

Anyway, the reason I'm writing here is because soon I'll be on Dominica, from December 8, 2024 to March 16, 2025 and I'd love to exchange ideas with you and make local contacts! I'm really looking forward to seeing you!

Hi everyone,

My name is Marcia and I am from the island of Jamaica. I have my sights set on moving to Dominica in January 2025 but I have never been to the island before and would love some guidance

I am trying to navigate how to find a home to rent and what is closest to banking, shopping, so I can move around the island easily since I don't have a vehicle.

I work online so having the internet is important to me.

Mostly I want to understand the culture of the people. I have read so much online but its always different coming from someone who is actually living there and experiencing it.
