Hi,

I'm Sahan Harinda from Sri Lanka. I have been offered a job in Malta and will be moving there in July. The visa category that my company applied for was the single permit - still abroad initiative. My annual salary is more than £35,000. I would like to know if I can bring my wife along with me when I'm coming to Malta. Is there a way for me to apply for dependent visa once my visa is granted or do I have to by physically in Malta and obtain my resident permit before I can apply for dependent visa.

I'm really confused because I saw that in some websites, they have mentioned that I needed to have stayed in Malta for more than 1 year before I can apply for dependent visa but some are saying that I can apply for dependent visa once my work visa is granted. I would really appreciate if someone could clarify this for me.

Thank you.

Cheers,

Sahan

Cheryl
