Moving to Comunidad

My wife got a teaching position, so we're moving to the Comunidad area in August. I'd like to tap into a network of expats/ticos in northern Guanacaste. The school is helping with her extended visa, but for our initial arrival we'll have to get the normal 90-day tourist visa and make a border crossing before our 90 days is up, correct? Looking for confirmation that when I arrive in Liberia I can show immigration a bus ticket reservation for San Juan del Sur sometime in the first 90 days. Our return air tickets are 120 days out from our arrival date. Looking forward to CR and the group discussion. Thanks, Paul

@thurpa - Congratulations!  So pretty!  You don't need to "get" a tourist visa, it is automatic.  Yes, you do need to leave every 90 days (border crossing) but from where you are it's going for lunch in Nicaragua, or for me, that's when I plan my trips back to the States or to go explore other countries in the region.
