Education Options

Post new topic

I have three children ages 15, 12, and 3.  We will be in the Rome area for 18 months.  Is it worth the hassle and expense to enroll in an international school?  Do many expats homeschool?  I have a son on the autism spectrum.  Has anyone had experience with education and special needs in an international school?  I'm afraid it may be difficult to enroll.

Thanks!

Hello there, I'm glad I found this recent thread. As an American Mom, thinking of returning to Rome (we lived there 10 years ago), i have the same question. My son, now 15, is also on the spectrum and school choice in critical. We're also wondering about home school.

So, I would love to find out the options, myself.
