Hello everyone

I hope you can shed some light on the visa regulations for me.

I'm currently in Germany and won't be able to leave my current job before July. I've just received my notice of work permit and I've been told by the embassy that I could push it to the limits and only apply for my Z visa shortly before that the notice of work permit expires (mid-April).

They've told me that the Z visa is valid for another 3 months (mid-July).

Is it possible to fly to China just before the end of the visa validity? Let's say 10th July. Will they still allow me to board a plane and can I still transfer the visa to a work/residence permit once in China?

@OliWild Hi, as long as you're entering China with a valid visa there will be no problem.

July is 6 months away. Why would they apply so early? Double check with the HR department of the company/school hiring you. They will give you the best answer.
